Monte Verita is a mountain in the canton of Ticino, Switzerland and it is a place of strong significance for the area, Ascona. Its name, Mountain of Truth stems from free-thinkers who came to this mountain in the beginning of the 20th century. Philosophers, artists and thinkers have been drawn to this gorgeous location over the last years.
The tropical paradise you find on the mountain makes it very easy to understand why people seeking a different lifestyle came to this area.
With a modern hotel and restaurant, a rich museum complex and an incredibly unique tea garden, plenty of history and culture can be explored on Monte Verita.

So rich in history and culture, Monte Verita offers plenty to explore about its vibrant past. Its museum complex holds a detailed exhibition as well as various impressions and explications around the mountain.
Next to the museum you will find a hotel as well as a modern restaurant which has breathtaking views over Lago Maggiore. Aside from being a hotel and restaurant, conferences and events are also held there throughout the year.
A true gem here is the tea garden and tea house located at the top of the mountain!
